Hints:
It is best if you password is easily remembered, one way that works for me is
by appending two or three words together and separating them with a number
and symbol. For example with the password marshmallow4%flaminG I end up with
a really good password which only requires me to remember 5 things.
- The word marshmallow,
- The word flaming,
- That the G at the end of flaming is capitalized
- That my number is '4'
- That my symbol is '%'.
I find this works much better than a random 8 character password such as
%H/v{9pE. The password marshmallow4%flaminG is a lot easier
for me to remember, it is easier for me to type, and is a stronger password.
If you are really talented it can sort of resemble something memorable you have done like
sharing 4% abv beer and marshmallows (some of which caught fire) with 3 other
friends around a campfire last summer.
Avoid using names, or words found in the dictionary written forwards, backwards,
with prepended or appended a numbers or symbols (most common being 1 & !),
and even common substitutions like 1's instead l's or, 5's instead s's.
Also, the page this form submits to uses SSL encryption with a self-signed certificate which you
will have to approve in order to change your password.
